Hot or cold?

This may not be the sharpest of captures (he was running through the water as it gushed through the unpredictable Bugis fountain), but I really liked the emotion that came out on his face and in the moving hands. From an observers point of view, it makes you ponder whether the water was hot or cold.

The Bugis fountain is one of those places where you can go again and again to shoot without getting bored. One of my best shots from there, taken last year.

    (edit)
This one seems to have done pretty well too.
    - MiRea's Realm Group: 35/35 AND 49+/49 (if you don't ditch the highest and lowest score), taking it to MiRea's Realm Hall of Fame.
    - My first shot to make it to the 90-99 Points group through 100 Points.

I love the sense of excitement you've captured with the boy's expression and the motion of the water and his hands. Contrast and exposure are wonderful.

Great black and white shot, the range tone and exposure are quite right, the boy's expression are the best of it, and captures the exact moment when cold water fall on him brhhh!!!

haha, funny and also very good shot! I like the expression on the boys face, really shows he is not pleased with the waters temperature, or shocked about something... Maybe he was pleased all along and then it at once surprised him with an EXTRA cold gush of water?

I think this might have been better with a faster shutter time, but I dont know if you had enough light.

It is a really great expression. I like the way that you've captured the waterdroplets on the boy's face. At a small size, the blurriness doesn't bother me be and I think it even adds to the shot as the face is so clearly show. However, at large size, the motion blur is a little distracting and I think takes away from the magic of this moment.

I love the expression and the contrast really makes it pop. I honestly don't know how to improve on it, but it is slightly distracting to have the motion blur in the hand but it adds to the water, just a catch 22 situation. Very nice image.
