This bird is on the RSPB Green status list.

This long tailed tit actually perched for more than a second allowing me to take his photo before flying off. He seemed to be enjoying the sun that finally appeared this afternoon. I suppose it will be back to grey skies again tomorrow.

Please put out plenty of fresh water regularly, the birds (and other creatures) are constantly coming into gardens looking for water to drink this year.

The chaffinch is on the RSPB Green status list.

We are back to the grey days again. This bird has been around all through the winter but I have been unable to take a decent photo of her. I spotted a male with her yesterday so hopefully there is some nestbuilding going on nearby.
