Self-portrait at the front of my house

Self-portrait at the front of my house

That was a fun day, the sun was shining through the trees and in the winter, everything was still green...I know, I know....it is a colour photo...and digital...not all things in life have explanations though...

An Autumn Spring

An Autumn Spring

I miss the old woods, the oaken twisting turns of knot and wood. The days when life was simple and ruralistic. Ahh those were the days.

The Cardigan was left in a friend's car, on the way to the train station and is probably still somewhere, in Wales. The glasses, broke when Vicki trod on them.

Life is truly ephemeral.

The silver swan takes flight

The silver swan takes flight

Working with Lois Greenfield was a real eye opener into the world of dance photography and was quite a hard thing to get right using film. I don't usually do studio photography but a good deal of my latest projects seem to be in the studio. Usually, I'm an 'available light' kind of photographer but the joys of working with professional dancers and the various shapes they make meant this was an opportunity I couldn't ignore.

Thanks to all who made this possible (the dancers, Lois Greenfield, the studio and others).

This is the first print i developed myself in the darkroom. More to follow...no doubt....

View it large.

Blow a kiss to the world

Blow a kiss to the world

I would say that this has to be one of my favourites. No explanation needed.

I will be endeavouring to disappear into my darkroom for the next few weeks and hopefully emerge with a load of nice new shots in the near future. So with that, I blow you all a kiss goodbye for a little while...at least...

Harbour in Paris

Harbour in Paris

Ferries are such a lovely part of every city and canals and canal boats add to the character and charm of an urban environment. A pity then, that much of the 'new world' only tends to have powerboats that churn up the water. We could learn a lot from the 'old world' and build slow boats, to watch life pass by, on the river, at a slower pace...
