Mystifying Oracle
I found this original 1960's version Ouija (wee-gee or we-ja) Board that belonged to my grandmother as I was going through old boxes from her estate. I have fond, yet creepy, memories of playing with this as a youngster.
I still have the now crumbling original box that proclaims on the back:
"OUIJA talking board set gives you entertainment you have never experienced. It draws the two people using it into close companionship and weaves them a feeling of mysterious isoloation. Unquestionably the most fascinating entertainment for modern people and modern life."
That's right...modern 1960-something life.

I remember when I was in high school my friends and I passed around a book called The Demonologist. We all joked about how we had a hard time getting to sleep after reading it.
The one thing I remember the most about the book was how condemning the author was towards Ouija boards, saying that a very high proportion of possessions started with someone using a Ouija board.
Not sure if I believe any of it, but it was certainly creepy.

I've heard similar stories...seems like I remember hearing something about a proper way of disposing of a Ouija Board to prevent evil-spirits from haunting you, or having bad luck, etc. To be honest, it gave me the creeps just snapping a photo of it.
