Holy Spirit 32
After Jesus rose from the dead, and before He ascended to heaven, Jesus told the disciples to wait in Jerusalem. He was sending someone very special, the Comforter, who would help them after Jesus was gone.
The disciples obeyed and ten days after the Ascension, the Holy Spirit came upon all those gathered in the upper room. This became known as the day of Pentecost. Through these verses and many others, we see that the Holy Spirit is a distinct and significant person of the mysterious Trinity.
Jesus promises to be with us, even to the end of the Age. He is able to do this through the Holy Spirit, who is always with us.
