Harrow bus JOV746P

Taken at Kenton in September 1989. Harrow Buses was a subsidiary of London Buses set up in 1987 to be "more competitive" in the new era of tendering. These Volvo Alisas were among the mixed bag operated. The Harrow Weald operation was later absorbed into Metroline.

Hong Kong never used the Volvo Ailsa, but it always reminds me a bit of the Leymand Victory II.

Yep, it's 4746, formerly of WMPTE Oldbury Garage. This was our rally 'showbus' for most of 1985. Sadly no more.

It was always a very smart bus at Black Prince, and was decapitated by the notorious low bridge on Henconner Lane in Bramley, for those that know this area.
