Mama is on the right. She is quite small for an adult skunk.

Our yard has been skunk friendly for a few years, since our dog died (of old age). Our 2 fierce cats decided that skunks aren't food, so this is the second summer of their peaceful co-existence. We humans don't bother them either, of course we stay pretty quiet if one waddles by.

My neighbor's shed, about 15' to the left of the photo, has some crawl spaces where he thinks the babies are growing up.

This must be one of the first times she showed them the world, it's unlikely that we would have missed it unless they came by very late. She brought them by just at dusk., 8:30 or so.
