Ascab Capoeira

This fight dancing originated in Brazil when African slaves needed a way to lift their spirits and hide the fact that they were practicing fighting techniques. This performance was at Y Respira Yoga Studio's grand opening fiesta.

My new pet bug

This little guy flew in when I took the dog out for his nightly rendezvous with nature. I'm not sure what kind he is, but he has nice red areas on his wings when he flies and enjoys the swiss chard remains set aside for the compost pile. If he gets lucky, the cats will be too lazy to eat him tonight.
