Cross in the fields
Vlkoš, Czech Republic, February 12, 2013
A bit minimalistic winter landscape :-)
These crosses were built by Christians for centuries. There are thousands of these crosses and little chapels all over the country side (mostly in rural areas)...usually along the roads, in the fields...from times when people did not have cars and walked from one village to another on foot. They would stop for a prayer.... :-). They are maintained by volunteers usually.
