Anxious to get home after a day of work in Salmon, Idaho I still can't resist stopping for a few shots along the way. Grateful that I did, I am reminded once again of this awesome commute and the beautiful world in which we live!

While wandering the country roads north of Idaho Falls in search of something to shoot, when I come across a pastoral scene such as this my spirit lifts, my fingers warm, and my pulse quickens a bit. I feel at once refreshed and ready for the new day. It's funny how soft light, warm tones, crisp temperatures and a bit frost on a country lane can do that to you!

The sky begins to lighten and the reflection of color is just visible in the Snake River on this predawn image taken in Swan Valley Idaho.

It was raining in Moab but when I reached the Windows District in Arches a light snow had fallen and there were clouds moving about the rock formations, a virtual playground for a photographer looking for something different in this well photographed landscape!
