Third Time's The Charm
A picture for those of you who wanted to see my new shoes, as well as those of you interested in following the continuing saga of my MYRIAD ATTEMPTS to take the gestational diabetes test. As you can see, I just drank the Glucola. Before doing so, I called to make sure the office was open (unlike the first time), checked to make sure that the drink had NOT expired, rendering it useless (unlike the second time) and ONLY THEN did I knock it back like a champ. I am now biding my time before walking over to the doctor's office.
I will vanquish you, gestational diabetes test! With the help of my new "Pewter" shoes!
(Although-- so help me--if something fucks up this attempt at the test, I'm buying myself shoes that cost much more than these did.)

Update: The test finally happened. And as a reward for my patience, I was presented with a massive free case of prenatal vitamins, and (once I need them again) the promise of free birth control sample packs as long as I'm with the practice. Um, score?
