Eleventh Street, Downtown Kansas City. Why does the City allow two lanes to be blocked to store this piece of equipment that appears not to even be used during the day? Some 350 KCATA buses use this street daily, plus hundreds of other vehicles. This blockage, coupled with the total closure of 11th between Main and Baltimore, creates serious delays for transit riders, as well as motorists.
BTW, we couldn't find a City Street Closure Permit at this site.
Update - The street closure was to have been cleared by Tuesday morning, September 4. As of noon that day the equipment had been removed but the traffic control signs / cones / tape were still in place. The closure was cleared by the following day.
