Salzburg Dom - Angle (Aviary edit)

Salzburg Dom - Angle (Aviary edit)

I just read about the online editor Aviary in the Flickr blog. Thought I would give it a go. Very much influenced by instagram.

An example of why you shouldn't try taking photos while also trying to keep visual contact with your wife and son.

OK, so I am going to have to go back to Salzburg and have another go at taking this shot. I had to straighten it slightly in Photoshop, and the angles are still out. On my own I would have taken my time to set the shot up, not worry about anything else. Taking this I was very aware of the dissapearing figures of my family.

Ho hum.

watched

watched

Seen on a footbridge over the River Salzach in Salzburg.

Selective colourisation. The stickers caught my eye but the image was dull and inspiring, so I decided to pop out the important bits.

If they think they are being watched they should go to the UK. It might be an Urban Myth, but apprently 'we' have the most CCTV cameras per person of anywhere in the world. And yet we are still terrified of crime.

Salzburg Dom - Door

Salzburg Dom - Door

Door Detail. Salburger Dom.

An example of why you should take your time and use a support for your camera. This was hand held in a low light area, and the focus is well out.

the uncanny valley

the uncanny valley

I love the way this shop mannequin avoids the uncanny valley, the place where something unhuman looks too human, but not human enough.

I do still find the gaze slightly unsettling.

Seen on a very brief visit to Salzburg, Austria.
