I shared (from the bottle mind you) nearly half a bottle of bourbon with him to get one frame as I bought some crap from his roadside market...he didn't like the camera...but after I drank with him a minute...(again out of the bottle...then chased it out of a 2-liter PepsiTM)I asked him if it was cool to get a picture to remember him by and I drove on down the road...Southern generosity...but always with a caveat...this one was a .357 I believe.

Thank you guys and gals for taking a look and taking the time to add a comment or mark it as a favorite...you just never know, it's one of my favorites because of the real story that goes along with it and given the fact I had little time (and a fuzzy head) to get little more than a quick snap I wondered if it really said anything to anyone but me...Volare...please send pictures of you pretending to have guns...ahem.

The straw hat...my guess the bottom of a planter thing...and yes, that is a feather in the top of it, albeit a spent one.

HaHa...isn't living in the South great...the rest of the country is sooo much "better" than us. It's taken me quite sometime to realize that living where I do, traveling where I do is not only "okay" but culturally it's really where I want to be. I love NYC, Chicago, etc. but I also love Acme, West Virginia, Muddy Ford, Kentucky, Bobo, Mississippi and Shorter, Alabama...I stopped apologizing for be a redneck and just learned to further explore what that means.
