Flatten the seam
Sew the cuff
With a straight stitch, sew around the cuff 1/4 inch from the edge. For ease, I sew on the 'right' side of the fabric.

When they were only 1/2 way up they were neither up nor down....
You can lengthen the cuffs as your babe grows. Notice that up or down, the fabric monkeys are facing...

When they were up, they were up....
Cuffs fully turned up. Notice that up or down, the fabric monkeys are facing the right way up. An added bonus of this method I think!

1st fold
With your pants inside out, fold the raw edge of the cuff fabric up to meet the seam line where cuff meets pant fabric.
