Sunshower

I borrowed the title from this song that feels like it fits this image.
    Thank you Chris Cornell.

The birds were playing in the swirls of wind. It's all right.

I think you feed on the nectar of the gods that Apollo provides you directly.
I have never seen a drama so sweet. A beautiful and dramatic image that opens the door to more hopeful idea..

Wow, This one is great, it has a very spiritual feel about it that makes me want to find a angel there in the clouds, and it almost seems like the birds are ascending up to heaven.

      Fantastic !!

This is amazing and inspirational! I've had a difficult time shooting into the sun with my iPhone. You've mastered it here. Thanks for mentioning which apps you used.

This would be an awesome composition to use at a memorial service. I may hit you up at some time to ask permission to use it. I work as a member of our Fire Depts Memorial Team as a graphic artist, videographer, and photographer.

I love the glow and the colors...and the way you framed it all with the birds "swooping" up the right side of the image is fantastic

A beautiful, beautiful shot. And, just in case you wanted to know, I believe that the birds are Tree Swallows.

Thanks, Dan for the 'wow!' I appreciate that!

      Vero, thank you so much!

Josep, the knowledge you possess is stunning. I love that you see these correlations with the gods. Apollo is an inspired choice as he is not only the sun god, but also the god of healing and music--elements that, for me, feel very much a part of this image. Thank you for teaching me!

      Thank you so much!

Thank you Christy! You might like Lomora2 if you haven't already tried it!

Mick, in many ways, I felt the same spiritual feeling in light of recent events in my life. Birds in flight always inspire me and these little birds were so full of joy in their swooping play. It almost felt like a sign along with the way the clouds looked. I am so grateful for moments like this!

Jeff, thank you! Those were definitely the feelings I had!

Suzy, isn't Chris Cornell wonderful? I thought the mood of this song, his voice, the guitar and definitely the words really fit my own feelings about this image. There is redemption in it, and healing. I hope you had time to listen to it again. I hope that helps you look past the dark drama of this one and into the cleansing feeling of hope.

      Wow!

Another incredible, impressionistic image that I could see gracing the pages of a fantasy novel with illustrations!

Lovely dreamy feel to this, and incredible rich, dark, majestic colour tones!

And those wheeling birds....wow...and wow again!

      Superb and incredible!

Truly takes the mind on a wondrous and fantastical journey!

      Barbara, thank you! :)

Roberto, you may be right! I hope so! What a lovely point of view.

Stephen, I just point it in the right direction and don't bother on the specifics due to sun blindness! You know you'll get a lot of sunflare, but I personally love sunflare in my photos. There are often some great surprises! You are welcome to this photo. Just message me if you'd like me to email it. I'm happy you sense the spirituality in this as I certainly felt it when I shot this. Sunflare and swirling swallows have a way of mesmerizing a person.

John, those words could easily describe your photostream. Thank you!

Eric, I loved those birds. Thank you, my friend!

      Thank you Sue!

Happy you like it, John. Eager to see more of your iphone work!

      That's great, Krissy! Thank you!

Leanne, I must get to work on my album! Ha! I appreciate that!

Admittedly, a little unbelievable, but I hope you were able to suspend that disbelief..

Peter, you rock! I looked online and indeed that's what they were. Their little backs were a gorgeous greenish blue but they moved so fast I never caught that. I am fairly familiar with the birds around here, but in winter we seem to get an influx of new ones I don't know every year. Thank you for the identification and of course for your lovely words.

Dave, I'm happy this transported you somewhere else. Thank you! :)
