For some reason, I couldn't sleep on Sunday morning and I was wide awake at 5am listening to the fog horn in bed. I decided to check the fog conditions, and they looked ripe for shooting in the headlands. I gathered my gear together and headed over the bridge and up to Hawk Hill. It was pitch black over there, and I had trouble deciding on a spot that I liked. I started to hike up to Slacker’s Ridge, but changed my mind after a short distance. I ended up choosing a spot off the upper half of Conzelman Road, which turned out to be a bad angle for what I was trying to accomplish.
The above photo is actually one that I almost didn’t take. Once I was done shooting down below, I made my way to the top, where everyone was capturing the sun rising above the horizon. I pulled out my camera and took this photo before calling it a day. I also got to meet Steve Hornstra (Stevehorn) and Matt Deguara (MattyD90) while up at the top. It was great to meet you guys!
