I've been really getting into the whole "street photography" thing lately. It's a whole'nother ball game of shooting thats for sure! Not to mention, the 70-200 F/2.8LII is great for this in my opinion! :) Shot this across the street and cropped in slightly(Maybe 15-20% cut from the sides). Don't think the guy was too happy about being photographed haha xD

Managed to go on another trip to Hollywood Blvd last Saturday(2-18-12) on class assignment, which was also a great opportunity to play around with my new 70-200mm f/2.8 MKII. Such a great lens... Well, "great" is an understatement xD

Now, onto the story!

At a distance, I noticed a sign moving high above a large crowd of people. The sign read "Jesus <3 U - He Has Eternal Life 4 U", which made me think someone serious held that sign; the type of people who seem to force you on their religion upon you if you catch my drift. Once the crowd clears up, I saw a man with a huge smile on his face, dancing and jumping across the intersection with his earphones on. He constantly goes around the same intersection of Hollywood Blvd and N Highland doing what I guess he loves to do, and hey, there's nothing wrong with that! Didn't get to talk to him, but I thank him for the few shots I took :)

I really don't like portraits of myself, but I had to take one for class and this was really the only one I thought came out decently xD. Gotta thank Albert Gutierrez for assisting me, standing in place so I could focus on him then running out to the "focus zone" using 10sec timer!

My first exposure above the 30 second limit that you are given without a remote. Went to the Santa Monica pier on school assignment and thought I'd give it a try using my new Canon wired remote! Not the best looking shot in the world but I like it as a first =)

Yet another from this particular series and another favorite of mine. I really liked how the rock on his right holding the wooden bars look like someone was meant to be next to him. Not saying this guy is lonely or something cause he's not whatsoever, but this photo has that feeling to it in my eyes, not sure how you all feel about that would love to hear some thoughts about that =)

The title "I Don't Feel Very Receptive Today" is from a song by Underoath, a band we were listening to before the shoot. Thought it went well with the image as well!
