My Swedish Roots
Obviously, I did not take this photo : )
This is a photo of my Swedish ancestors. The smallest child is my grandmother, Sigrid Magnhild Elisabeth Andersson. She was known to her husband and family in America as Elizabeth, Liz, or Lisa, though it appears that back home in Sweden they called her Sigrid. She was born in Norrköping, Sweden. Her father, standing next to her was Axel Herman Andersson. Her mother, at the right died not long after this picture was taken. Her name was Elin Wilhelmina Kristina (Källström) Andersson. This photo was taken between 1906 and 1908 in Norrköping, Sweden.

Wonderful! They look like solid, upstanding people!

Thanks all!
@becca, sadly I never knew any of them personally. My grandmother (the smallest child) died in 1961, about 14 years before I was born. Ironically, her dad lived until 1967, but never came to the states to visit, as far as I am aware. So, I can't say if they were really "solid, upstanding people" but I have no reason to believe they weren't.

Just a wonderful old print and a family treasure. I traced my family's roots and found some saps and a knothead.
