Star trails stacking theory at work! Cool shot Rob but where is it? Not the things on the Barrage because surely you can't get down there after it closes?
BTW 20Mb uploads came in with video... that bit got lost amongst the fury against moving pictures!

I wasn't aware of this facility on CS3EX, I shall have to investigate, very good resulting image.

I don't use CS3, i only use CS, but it is a very interesting experiment, Rob. Looks pretty good. And thx for the hint with the 20 MB. I think, i will not use such huge files at flickr, but it is good to know, that it was possible, if necessary. :-)

Under this scene of apparent simplicity, indigo to blue with the sails, is a deal of sophistication.
James_at_Slack (50 months ago | reply)
Looks good and it is my 'cup of tea'.
As regard 20mb - that'll be why Flickr has slowed down so much for me.

A very smooth result Rob.
Beautiful colour without any hint of over saturation. I did the read about the 'break in' that was needed to take this :-)
There's no stopping you now after you got back out of the asylum un- harmed!

Great results Rob, I use stacking quite a lot for star trail shots in the same situation where there's something in the foreground i don't want blown out, i use deepspacestacker for mine, and photoshop just seems too fiddly for the job.

Lovely, "simple" abstract. Actually it's a very clever shot, not just technically. Composition is just to my taste.
Yes, it was upp'ed to 20Mb when video was introduced. Dunno that I'll use it as surely the downloads are slower as well. Uploads will take longer as most of us have ADSL connections, that is the speed isn't the same in both directions. It may by 2Mbit, 4Mbit or whatever coming from the web to you, but the chances are it is 640Kbits the other way.

I have no idea what your technical jargon means, but I love the colours you've ended up with. Beautiful.
