Everest/Chomolungma and Nuptse

The trekker's classic view from Kala Patthar
    Everest Region, Nepal

Get a good look at the angle of ascent up that ridge from the South Col!
I doubt I could even do that at sea level!

      Thanks for your comments.
And thanks to all you "favers".
It really is a classic view that many trekkers take.
But I guess each one of us had to do the hard work to get there, and at 5500m, you've got less than half the oxygen in the air than at sea-level.

Certainly an impressive sight - and nice detail on the icy slopes...

A person (not a photographer, but with a flickr account) posted the following:
Once in their Lifetime, every person should journey to a place where legends live, where everything is bigger than life. For everybody, Everest has always represented nature at its most powerful, most awe-inspiring most unconquerable in this planet. Every person should at least hike to Everest base camp in his or her life. For this you don't need any technical knowledge. Just you need sprit of adventure & one pair of good legs. For more information visit our site.
I've removed the link and their comment .

Whilst I agree entirely with the little spiel, I don't like my picture being hijacked for commercials.
PLEASE, NO ONE ELSE DO THIS.
