This is such an amazing shot! I tried getting something like that as well, but just don't have the lens to get such a DOF. Thanks for you comment on my holocaust shots. And yes, it was a very emotional visit.

Thank you, I shot this picture several years ago. The memorial is a magnificent subject. Each time I go there I see something new. So much symbolism, so much detail. I took many pictures that day - this was the best. You have piqued my interest and I will go back and look at the raw shots. It could be another good one.

This is truly amazing. I have visited the memorial many times... sadly none with a 'real' camera. But on my next trip home, I will be there. And I will undoubtedly attempt to double this shot. It's so evokative, and the tack-sharp focus with the DoF... just Wow.

It's so disturbing... When I first saw the picture in search, I thought it looked really cool (which it is) but then when I read that it's a Holocaust Memorial... then it took on a whole new meaning. It's gone from being art expressing a feeling to art expressing history, and reality, and in this context it's totally sad and disturbing.
