I changed some small things from the last version and took a nicer picture. Doors stolen from the huey. The cockpit is the same as my snow helicopter but this actually came first.

definitely. If one of my designs were to even semi make it into a goldman diorama I think I might just quit the hobby as I'll have nothing else to achieve.

Seriously though, that would be pretty awesome. I keep on talking about how I'm going to post some breakdown shots of the huey but i've still not gotten to it as there are about a million other things I'd rather do. You're inspiring me to get on that though...

If you can really break it down for me in photos, and assuming they don't use any $20 parts, I'll seriously consider doing the opening Liberty island scene with all the choppers. I tried to find a google image but couldn't. It was shot at a dam in California and had about 4 choppers in them. How much do you think it would be to replicate them? I probably have enough parts to cut down the cost, but do you have a ballpark? i could get alot of use out of them in very different scenes. Central park, a burned out intersection, and a couple of others. I'll seriously consider it.

Awesome. This beast was the only cool part of Avatar IMO. Perfect replication!

'Bout time you jumped on a Escape from NY dio.

To the point though, I liked these MOCs before, but the new photography really makes them pop! Interesting too that this is a sort of mash-up of two separate MOCs.

if I ever get around to building an Escape from NY scene

Keith, have I ever mentioned that you're my hero?

...and this MOC is awesome too.

thanks guys. Keith, i'm guessing you want to make those hueys in black. That would actually be somewhat cheaper and easier than dk gray and you can also use the 1x4 curved brick instead of 4 cheese slopes for the top and bottom edges. I'll do my best to get you a breakdown/piece cost idea.

Also, concerning current picture, here is the original for comparison:
    samson

My favorite change is the new silver props instead of the black, I think it adds nice contrast.

fantastic! this IS the samson! i really like the new nose too! =)
