eliot loves to catch things, mostly bugs and frogs. its not the catching that bothers me, but the keeping. i cant take the little frogs dieing in glass jars anymore. so, the new policy. he can catch, he can even keep for a day, but he has to let them go. my end of the deal is to take a picture, print it out and keep a book of all his creatures. this is frogy number two. we let frogy number one go on sunday. he cried both times, but has agreed on the new policy. i love that boy.

That's awesome, both the shot and the policy. I used to catch toads in the water-meter holes growing up in Florida and the grubby hands and accompanying frog really reminds me of that. Funny how childhood is kind of the same through time.

What a great lesson for your son and how wonderful to grow up somewhere that he can have so much exposure to nature!
