Road Trip 2008: San Francisco, CA to Charlotte, NC |
I'm moving to New York and figured what
better way to get there than a good old
road trip. My best friend Derek came
along and we had a blast. We traveled
the Southern route, starting in
California then through Arizona, New
Mexico, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi,
Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina and
finally arrived in Charlotte, North
Carolina, where my family lives. Along
the way we saw as much as possible
including the Mojave Desert, Petroglyph
National Monument, White Sands National
Monument, Petrified Forest National
Park, a rattlesnake museum, the Georgia
O'Keefe Museum, a stop in Truth or
Consequences, NM, the Sonora Caverns in
TX, my grandparents in Opelika, AL, and
much MUCH more. We even found the time
to run a 5K (the Bosque BOOGIE) in
Albuquerque and play Monopoly throughout
the journey....who cares if it was
McDonald's?
I'm sad it's over, but will definitely remember this one for the rest of my life. Thanks Derek :) Enjoy the photos!
