Haweswater

Having seen the snow covered mountains in the distance on Saturday I just had to go there. Sunday weather was a bit grey, but the hills were magnificent. The view is of Harter Fell and High Street, with Haweswater reservoir in the foreground.

These three cairns have been here many years. They do change subtly each year as people add and take away, or the weather brings decay. But their solidity and permanence impresses.
