Our Fleur de Lis Frosted Bathroom Window: The Sky in Shreveport Two Years After Hurricane Katrina

Today, August 29, 2007, there is no rain in Shreveport, Louisiana.

 

The fleur de lis symbol may be used in less traditional ways. After Hurricane Katrina many New Orleanians of varying ages and backgrounds were tattooed with "one of its cultural emblems" as a "memorial"of the storm, according to a researcher at Tulane University.
