I highly recommend beaches for thinking and clearing your head (literally and figuratively)
    butterfly chair is recommended also

a little sea bird (bwahahahaha!!!! get it?) told me I haven't actively used the black border thing since my last stream.
    true
but it seems I just needed a reminder that "oh yeah I really like that look!" to get it going again. TraLa!

prepare to see it much more often. which at this rate could be once a year :P

I see you busted out the black bars ;-)

    6. kleine_moewe (7 months ago | reply)

i saw this and squealed, but inside my head, 'cause everyone else is asleep but me. somehow the black border looks so good on your shots, always. and DUDE. painted clams? nuh-uh, no thanks. ever. and you look like you could use some hot chocolate in this picture. with marshmallows. but none of those tiny powdery things, i'm talking the regular size marshmallows that take up half the mug!

    7. Lila Limited (7 months ago | reply)

word about the hot chocolate! when I got back home I made bunch. the empty cup sits on my desk right now actually. could use a refill I suppose...
the clams are creepy. Although not as creepy as when they painted them to look like reindeer 0.o
tonight it really was quite calm :)
      busted I did!

    11. Lila Limited (7 months ago | reply)

I've considered doing a series and posting them as a formal complaint...
there's even a sorta zombie. you can sorta see their feet towards the end of the pier. they were walking during the exposure so its harder to see them but they're there all right.
it looks shiny and clear from here :D

    12. blueteeth (7 months ago | reply)

I see them. But those are ghosts. Zombies dream of being ghosts. They're the lucky ones.

See, I think the borders are for people -like me- who are not as good as you at framing their shots.

This is so soft and beautiful. the black border works really well with this shot.

Like Deana said, we may have some nice fall color, but I'll take a beach anyday.. may be 'coz we don't have one.. and, its cold.. and cloudy..

Anyhow, fantastic composition.. love the solitude and calming tones.. and of course you in the shot.. ;)

    41. hardyc (7 months ago | reply)

      yeah..those clouds and this framing.
I could use some of this...

Great image and composition. Checked EXIF data, but no info on lens. And is this a self-portrait? Good job.

Lovely setting. I doubt i would move from that spot unless something awfully fierce moved me from it.

Oh and I dig the black frame, it's cinematic. :-D
