in response to inquiries about my last post, this is a before & after look to You’re Money And A Big Winner. the original capture was a spontaneous candid snapshot (staged portraits are pretty much impossible with my girl at this age - so i have to take what i can get), but i felt the story behind the capture was cute, thus wanted to share the image and story. i applied two textures (a standard and a ttv texture) which had a “carnaval-feel” and used the eraser tool to highlight the subject.

standard texture workflow: open final edited image and texture in workspace > use move tool to place texture on top of edited image > resize texture to fit over edited image (or portion of edited image) > in layers palette, choose overlay or soft light > adjust opacity to your preference.

ttv texture workflow: same as above but use multiply instead of overlay/soft light.

staying at the carnaval-themed rio casino while in las vegas for a recent baseball tournament, my son’s team decided on a challenge … whoever could collect the most beads during their visit, would win $11 (each player chipped in a dollar). my son quickly realized that cute 2-year old girls have better success than grubby 10-year old boys when it comes to receiving free beads. so he promptly teamed up with his little sister and was the runaway winner of $11. a life lesson learned - the ladies usually "win". ;-) lol

update to many inquiries: yes he did split the proceeds ... he took $6, makayla received $5 ... after all, he's the big brother ;-)
