Baby Monkey
Jigoku-dani (Shigakogen) Monkey Park, Nagano, Japan
Jigoku-dani translates to be "Hell's Valley", because of the
rugged cliffs and the steam that pours out of random cracks in the
valley due to the natural hot springs that formulate back there!
There is a population of about 500 wild Japanese Macaques (Snow
Monkeys) that have been coming down to the hot spring, or
"Onsen" since 1963.
At the valley's base, there is a mini museum that show cases all of
the Alpha males and each of their "rise to glory" in terms
of how they obtained the throne. It's a really interesting place, as
you can get as close as you want to the monkeys, and there is no
barrier between you and the primates.
