• Here, you can see the oxidization around R417 and R418. I don't know why this would have melted unless a bracket fell against the card while in use. The clear spots in the damage area are rippled from melted laquer.
  • U31 isn't visibly affected, it's just the bright LED lamp effect on the solder terminals.
  • This is the BCM5384 chip. This is a 5-port gigabit ethernet switch. This is the second of three primary logic chips.
