I love the way the sea blends into the sky.
Where is this one? Looks different to the others.

Thanks for your comments guys. This fort is more off the Essex coast. Takes about 2 1/2 hours from North Kent.

I didn't realise at the time but this is Sealand, the one where a family have established their own principality. I think it's somewhere off the coast of Harwich. www.fruitsofthesea.demon.co.uk/sealand/gallery.html

Hi Moxette, theres two of these, Sealand is off Harwich, this one is between whitsable and the essex coast. I think I'm right in saying there were another 2, one of Margate that fell into the sea a few years back. and one that was in the shipping lanes to the Thames. This was blown up years back.

Oh, yes, you're right - I can see now that there's an extra platform on this one. I have been googling as I'm becoming quite fascinated by these but also getting very confused. So please forgive my rambling on :)
It seems there were three of the type in your other photos (each made up of 7 individual towers). These were the army ones.
Shivering Sands is off Herne Bay - still there
Red Sands is off Minster - still there
Great Nore off Sheerness - demolished - (probably the estuary one you mentioned above)
Then there were 4 navy ones with the concrete legs including your one here.
Knock John - near Foulness - still there
Tongue Sands - off Margate - collapsed into the sea 1996
Sunk Sand - off Frinton - blown up
The Roughs (Sealand) - off Harwich - still there, though had a fire recently
There are 3 of the army type ones around the mersey area, too
