I believe the innards were lost for a long time, but have been found within the past couple of years and there are plans to have the clock working again, if it isn't already.
If anyone has any more info on these clocks (I understand that there could be either 7 or 11) then I would love to know.

brings back many memories does that clock! The place where it stood is still referred to as Leyland Clock Corner - which baffles the tourists a bit when they ask for directions
