A garage sale find, the straw vase. $1.00.
Same with the pinecones from another sale...I believe they cost about the same. I love garage sales. I once did my entire 2nd home in garage sale finds and it was gorgeous! And cost next to nothing. Spray paint and lacquer goes a long way. When I moved, some antique dealer bought everything and I made some serious $.
The feathers belong to stellar jays, GB Herons. crows, osprey,Canada geese, red tailed hawks...I find them easily. I know where their nests are but sometimes they float down from random tree tops. I love to play around and mix things up. That's all. This is how I play. All of these things show up in different arrangements, especially on rainy days-like today.

Elvis in a sea urchin hat.

I broke one of my little sea urchins this morning while cleaning up my natural history office ( a joke - kinda ) and placed it on a sheet of Elvis stamps I pulled from my strange collections box.
It fit! So now Elvis has a new hat that fits with my sense of humor.
I must say cleaning my office consists of moving things around and mixing it up again. A fresh look although no one else will 'get it'! My amusement....;-)
Love me tender-love my hat....oh, yeah!
