I've had this shot in my head for months...I was finally able to capture the light falling on the sand under the pier. ˆt's not the most beautiful image I've seen but I'm happy to have it off the list.
For a year I've been trying to understand how Flickr's "Intrestingness" algorithm works. I give up. My last image was on Explore. it had 800 views, 150 comments and 140 favs. Another photo (of a blanket) with 32 views 3 comments and zero favs was ranked 100 spots ahead of mine....will Yahoo one day explain it to us or is it one of those things that I'll ponder and never know the answers to. Kind of like the second shooter theory.
