Crazy Creepy Santa - Day Two - Things Grow Grim In Kitschville

I returned home today to find that Crazy Creepy Santa had wrangled his way out of his box and tied old Santa Claus to the Christmas tree. He'd also hatched a plan to take over the old guy's identity so that he could escape Kitschville undetected....

(as some of you may also remember, the poor fella tied to the tree is Incontinent Santa - I had quite a bit of cleaning to do - and no matter what Scientists believe, Santa urine is NOT made up of glitter and snow.)

I fear we should have seen such an attempt coming.

    2. srk1941 (54 months ago | reply)

Yes, we are always brilliant in retrospect.

I thought we talked about Depends adult diapers for I.S.? Or was there a capacity issue?

Thank goodness you caught him before the ole switcheroo took place! Or did you...?!

    3. Miss Retro Modern (54 months ago | reply)

Creepy Santa might just start peeing on your rug in attempt to obfuscate matters!

    4. *julia (54 months ago | reply)

I forgot to mention, I was told by his last host that he is prone to marking his territory.

    5. srk1941 (54 months ago | reply)

Or having those less fortunate or weaker than he do the dirty work for him!

Haaaa!! I love this story!! What's next for Crazy Creepy Santa? Whose doorstep does he grace next?

You should send the samples to Miss Retro Modern for a more complete examination :)

He's headed to SRK, and after that? I think we have time for maybe one more house, this season. I do hope we'll do a 2008 tour! I think next time we'll start with MRM, at the beginning of December.

I've seen several calls for visits ... can you make it official here -- who wants to sign up?

    10. Miss Retro Modern (54 months ago | reply)

Oh, we definitely have to keep this going for 2008!! I don't want to miss my time with Santa!

    11. srk1941 (54 months ago | reply)

It might be a way to keep Christmas alive ALL YEAR LONG!

      Why wait?

    12. * Eartha Kitsch * (54 months ago | reply)

Miss Retro Modern & SRK1941: I'm sure you DID know. You just didn't want to worry me.

Julia: Ha! Oh no! Like I don't have enough problems... : )

ilovecoffeeyesido: He's headed out to Mr. Srk1941's house first thing tomorrow morning! Stay tuned!

Christmas SHOULD be all year long! It's really cheered me up in a stressful time lately to play with decorations (and search for them in crazy shops) AND to see all of your decorations as well!

I'd be frightfully delighted to be a Crazy Creepy Santa Recipient in '08! Oh the fun the two of us will have!

and no, he didn't come home with me, what with his his nubbin' arms I'm not sure how he carries his sack of toys, maybe that's what the reindeer are for.

    16. * Eartha Kitsch * (54 months ago | reply)

ilovecoffeeyesido: Uh oh....I just know that you are going to have some crazy adventures!

      Why?whynot!: Saw it coming, eh? : )

Catsyle: Whoa! They ARE really similar. And boy, he's expensive!

    17. ilovecoffeeyesido (54 months ago | reply)

      Ooooh, I surely hope so!!

    18. Miss Retro Modern (54 months ago | reply)

Oh, I know what you mean, Eartha! Silly Christmas decorations have really been what's kept me going for the last couple of weeks!

    19. * Eartha Kitsch * (54 months ago | reply)

ilovecoffeeyesido: You come from the world of Santa walnuts - of COURSE you two will have adventures!

Miss Retro Modern: WHAT are we going to do after Christmas? Easter fixations???

    20. Miss Retro Modern (54 months ago | reply)

I really don't know! I can't seem to fixate on any vacation, short of Christmas. What did we do before this!? I can't even clearly recall!

    21. * Eartha Kitsch * (54 months ago | reply)

I was briefly fixated on my job and then I was fixated on the wedding and then! Christmas!

      I am SO screwed now.

    22. *julia (54 months ago | reply)

Yes, there's always a big let-down after Christmas, for this very reason.

Every year I think I'm going to keep the momentum way after Christmas. But then, come December 27 or so, I'm roundly over it.

I didn't think I was going to get excited this year, until I found all you kindred kitschmas people! Thanks to everyone for making this xmas season so fun!

    23. * Eartha Kitsch * (54 months ago | reply)

Thanks as well from me! It's been much fun!

    24. Charm and Poise (54 months ago | reply)

I'm on the list for a visit!

You better buy I.S. some new panties. He's in trouble until the big guy takes a powder.

    25. * Eartha Kitsch * (54 months ago | reply)

You are? Hot dog! You'll love him. I forgot to untie Incontinent Santa. Poor guy was tied to the Christmas tree until today. I don't deserve him.

    26. Charm and Poise (54 months ago | reply)

He'll forgive you. Incontinent Santa is a gentle soul who loves love. He'll take you back into his heart!

I'm sure Creepy Santa will be happy here. There are lots of things for him to leer at and fixate on!

    27. * Eartha Kitsch * (54 months ago | reply)

Oh yes, He's going to turn you into a Christmas lover like the rest of us.

    28. Charm and Poise (54 months ago | reply)

He'd be the only Christmassy thing in here -- that's going to give him a really big head, I fear. Uh, a bigger head than he already has!

    29. * Eartha Kitsch * (54 months ago | reply)

Wow! No Christmas stuff whatsoever? This is going to be life changing for you. You're right - he's sportin' quite the noggin'!

    30. Charm and Poise (54 months ago | reply)

Nope. Nuthin' Christmas around here. Except for vintage Christmas magazines, of course!

    31. Miss Retro Modern (54 months ago | reply)

How do you do it, Miss Sharon? How do you not long for flocking, or felt, or elves?!?

    32. Charm and Poise (54 months ago | reply)

I don't think I have the Christmas gene. My mom is big on decorating. Mr. Poise's mom is big on decorating. Yet the two of us reject Christmas cheer. Perhaps we're grinches at heart?

    33. Miss Retro Modern (54 months ago | reply)

Oh, I don't think that's it, at all! Believe it or not, I too used to eschew Christmas. I started about 7 years ago with a very tasteful, understated tree ... and well, you've seen what's become of me since!

    34. ilovecoffeeyesido (54 months ago | reply)

I'm feeling less than Christmassy right now. This has been one dull-spirited year in the Christmas sense. Though, the Flickr pictures have made a difference.

    35. Miss Retro Modern (54 months ago | reply)

Oh, no! Not you, too? I'm having the roughest time ever these days. Flickr is really saving me! Really!

    36. * Eartha Kitsch * (54 months ago | reply)

I agree. I hate to sound like a dork but Flickr has helped me through some spots where I needed to "get away" a little.

    37. Charm and Poise (54 months ago | reply)

Me too! This season has me swamped in a bit of sadness but Flickr helps.

    38. ilovecoffeeyesido (54 months ago | reply)

Here here!! Flickr is priceless to me in so many ways.
      xoxo

    39. * Eartha Kitsch * (54 months ago | reply)

Ladies: I hope that things cheer up remarkably soon for all of us. Hang in there. I will too. : )

    40. Charm and Poise (54 months ago | reply)

      Hurrah for hanging in there!

    41. Miss Retro Modern (54 months ago | reply)

At the risk of getting sappy, I just must say that Flickr is the best support group, ever!

    42. * Eartha Kitsch * (54 months ago | reply)

Girl, no...I agree with you. And cheap too! Well, unless you count all of the stuff that we buy and take photos of. Gulp.

Wait...that might bring the group down even more. Strike that last part. : )

    43. Miss Retro Modern (54 months ago | reply)

I usually try to keep within a $5 a week limit, but I've surely outdone myself during the Christmas season. I figure I can justify my purchases if expenditures amount to less than a coffee a day :-)

    44. ilovecoffeeyesido (54 months ago | reply)

Sappy is my mood, too, when I think of Flickr!! :)

    45. * Eartha Kitsch * (54 months ago | reply)

Miss Retro Modern: I admire your determination with limits. (though Christmas IS different so it's okay in my book) I tell myself that limits might make me not be able to get something AMAZING so.....onward I go in the stores with no limits. Maybe I DO need a support group!

ilovecoffeeyesido: Aww...You feel the love too!

    46. Miss Retro Modern (54 months ago | reply)

Well, to be fair, I figure as long as it all evens out to be about $20 a month, I'm ok. Sometimes you've just gotta make up for those horrible months in the fall when the students all come back and snag all the good stuff!

    47. * Eartha Kitsch * (54 months ago | reply)

True! I liked it better when students didn't find thriftiness hip. : )
