the ballot

the Philippines is choosing new set of Senators, Congressmen and local officials today.

i went to Crame, Barangay Bagong Lipunan where i am registered as a voter. went around the place and took some snaps. befriended some people (ok, girls...hehe) before i proceeded to cast my vote.

Uy nice, I was tempted as well to take a photo of my ballot, but my ethics told me not to(well im scared too hehe), because of vote buying techniques that I had to suspend my urge to take a photo of my ballot, sabi kse nila ang style ngayon is to take a photo of your ballot (cellcam) to confirm your vote on the candidate that gave you bribe money.

i didn't sneak my camera in. i spent an hour talking to the volunteers, nuns, narangay ang police who were in-charge in the school (barangay bagong lipunan west crame). i even have a photo of some of them.
when i decided to cast my vote, i asked if i could take a photo of the ballot box from the outside. then i asked if i could take a photo of the folder with the comelec logo. the lady told me to go ahead and shoot as long as i wont reveal who i voted.

probably they allowed me because a photographer from the Philippine Daily Inquirer and Tribune were shooting there as well (sa tabi ng precinct ko, hehe).
they though i was from a newspaper as well.

and some were former neighbors kaya siguro ganun.

hehe....kumuha din ako sa celfone nung una kasi akala ko pagbabawalan nila ako. nung nakakausap ko na sila at konting chika, i took shots at will. yun nga lang, i have to send copies of their photos, hehe.
