This makes me think of that Road to Nowhere song by Talking Heads.....love that song! Really cool image. Love the cracks in the road and the abandoned feeling it creates.
I know a few roads like that around the county where I live. Makes you wonder. Beautifully photographed by you Robert. I always love how you photograph things. Well Done.
Very nice shot. The lines/cracks draw you done the road to the fence at the end, and what I imagine is a curve. I love pictures that get my imagination going. :)
Thanks, gentle people, for all of the nice remarks. I truly appreciate everyone who made a comment! :)
This mostly-abandoned road does indeed dead end -- hence the barriers. But there's a reason the highway department put those barriers right where they did: there's a driveway complete with a mailbox on the left, right in front of the barrier! If you look very closely at the "original" size you can barely make out the black mailbox. :)

The thing about not taking any road is that you never know what you missed...good or bad. Fantastic shot.
