The ipod was my saviour at many a times especially when I was the only one in the compartment for certain stretches of the many journeys that I traveled on my own. Since there was nobody to speak to, music was the next best entertainment to pass the time away. And how can I forget my lovely shures, which doubled up as amazing ear plugs as well, with the only downside being able to hear my own breathing and footsteps when I walk.

They traveled with me from London, through whole of Europe (almost), Scandinavia, through the vast Russia plain, Mongolia, China, into HK, crossing into Vietnam, Cambodia and finally Thailand. It also accompanied me for 10 weeks through my volunteer days in Madagascar and my recent trip through USA, Central America, Chile & Argentina. My journey finally ended today (4 Feb 2012) when I dropped it while running after a bus...I hope you will be picked up by some nice guy...RIP Shure
