thinking of you this autumn
a thinking of you card for my favourite season created for britta swiderski's design principles class challenge. i made it with clear embossing on cream cardstock, watercolouring on top with distress markers sprayed with pearlized water, and then stamping on top with corresponding distress inks. the sentiment was stamped with vintage photo distress in on cream card stock, inked with a bit of antique linen and adhered down with some foam adhesive.
design principles incorporated:
-movement - leaves falling into a pile on the ground
-similarity and contrast - all maple leaves but in different sizes/orientations, stamped in different colours- similar ones like reds, browns and oranges and contrasting with greens and yellows
-rhythm through repetition of the same maple leaf all over the card
