Tweetgency gets coverage on The Cannes Daily

Is it possible to open a creative agency with no start up costs, no clients and no staff in this day and age? In the summer of 2011 my writer partner Justin Li and I decided to give it a go with a month-long experiment. With $75, a simple website and Twitter handle, we opened Tweetgency — the world's first and only Tweet-based creative agency. All you had to do was Tweet us your 140-character brief, and we'd reply as quickly as possible with a free 140-character idea in the form of a Tweet or Twitpic.

In the first 2 weeks, we amassed over 500 followers, received over 100 briefs and were interviewed by Ad Age and Cannes Daily. Then after a month it became all, too-much-about-the-money and by that I mean, lack thereof, so we called it an experimental success and closed our doors. Free idea for you WPP: acquire us.
