    Using an uneven stripe for the star points makes such a neat little star. Kind of like the star is caught in mid- twinkle. The star block started as a 54-40 or Fight but then I turned the corner four patches, so I don't know if that star has a name:)

      What a great blend if block, fabrics and setting...even the small four patch settings andsashing add to the piece.

      I like that description on ice crystals....makes me think of making one of these in blues if I can find the right stripe :)

      You're welcome Linda, I absolutely love how you completely change the way a fabric reads, it's brilliant. I've only just started quilting again, so just dipping my toes in the water so to speak and finding wonderful inspiration in your work.

      Oooh, this in blues like you mentioned would be a stunner! Those stripes really make the twinkle and movement in this quilt.
