Taken on 6/11/2007 at around 21:00hrs local AK time. This is my climbing partner a day after summitting Denali.....which is located in Alaska and is the highest point in North America. He and another partner summitted with their skies so that they could ski down from the summit at 20,320' back to high camp at 17,200'. The next day we left our high camp at 17,200' back to basecamp at 7,200' There was one section of the ridge between 17,200' and 16,200' with was unskiable for them...so this photo was taken there. All I can say is that it was truely awesome being there at this particular time soaking in the views.......makes mountaineering well worth the effort.
