Number 12
Bridge number 12 on the Edinburgh and Dalkeith Railway is the Glenesk Viaduct (a grade A listed structure). Engineered in the early 1830s it was later absorbed by the North British Railway and became part of their "Waverley Route".
With plans afoot to restore this line as far south as Tweedbank, the footway and cycle path will be displaced to a structure cantilevered out from the existing viaduct.
