the colors are striking. did you do something special in post processing to get these tones?

    3. nune (57 months ago | reply)

Very cool scene, textures and tones!

    4. KaptainKaveman (57 months ago | reply)

It's very nice! I like how there's an extra wall at the top right anding next to the hydrant (or old gasline?). Symetry without "perfect" symetry.

      Perfect.

das ja mal nen Vollhammer! Respekt! :) tolle Farben tolles Symmetrie. Passt wunderbar.

Wow. Really nice colors, contrast and composition. The hydrant looks like a king on his throne, yet a little lost.

Dean Forbes: thank you dean! no special techniques used in post processing, only adjusting contrast, light, white balance and saturation in ps lightroom.
CaptCaveman: i think it is a water hydrant for fire-fighting. thx!!
Shot by Scott: who the fcuk is udo? :-D LOL
kwerfeldein: danke!! ich auch nicht, wirklich. um so überraschter war ich selber, als ich etwas mit den lightroom reglern gespielt habe.
andersdenkend: yeaaah, king hydrant!!! new title!! thx ;-)

THX to all of you for your nice comments!!!!

love this title!! thx andersdenkend :)

      hi,

i like the "blog-version" better, for being less cropped- it has more content, the "walk up the throne" seems longer, as there's more steps. the hydrant itself looks far more distant.

m-arx:thx for your comment. it was hard to decide which one i upload here, because i do not want to upload them both. i like them both very much and i totally agree with your words. in the background of this is "king hydrant" the other version makes more sense because of the distance to the king. but this king idea came after i uploaded it so i decided to post the other one on my blog. thanks again!!

THANK YOU ALL FOR COMMENTS AND FAVS!!!

nur die rechte bildseite stört mich etwas

    37. pfn.photo (56 months ago | reply)

Wow, krasses Bild.
