Three generations of signage at the entrance to a waiting room at Copenhagen Central Station.

Top: the (original) British Rail Alphabet by Margaret Calvert, recently revived as New Rail Alphabet by Henrik Kubel

Middle: golden engraved lettering, with an uncial-like E (‘III. Kl. Ventesal’ is ‘third-class waiting room’, of course)

Bottom: Via, the current custom typeface by Kontrapunkt
