to all who have aided me into becoming the man that I have become, till today, thank you.

Working in a school that has watched me grow has become something of a fond introspective journey into the past. Into seeing how passionate, dedicated educators mould Victorians, batch by batch, into gentlemen waiting to stand tall in the bright futures of this society.

It's a self-fulfilling cycle, with each student enriching the warmth and strength and resolution to the commitment that these men of character will contribute back to both community and society in life.

And there's this inexplicably wonderful sense of pride that I partake in, because I'm part of "something more".

Victoria is something more. Nil Sine Labore.

Tinseltown.

Tinseltown.

We build, brick by brick.
This nation of contrasts,
no matter your color, your background.

If you feel that your color is stronger than mine,
my contribution is fairer than yours,
I plead. Don't
make them the scapegoats of your own kind.

the way up.

the way up.

There is a place where the sidewalk ends
and before the street begins,
and there the grass grows soft and white,
and there the sun burns crimson bright,
and there the moon-bird rests from his flight
to cool in the peppermint wind.

Let us leave this place where the smoke blows black
and the dark street winds and bends.
Past the pits where the asphalt flowers grow
we shall walk with a walk that is measured and slow
and watch where the chalk-white arrows go
to the place where the sidewalk ends.

Yes we'll walk with a walk that is measured and slow,
and we'll go where the chalk-white arrows go,
for the children, they mark, and the children, they know,
the place where the sidewalk ends.

Shel Silverstein
