    thank you sooo very much for adding this as a favorite. are you familiar with benzie county? the Platte Lakes are by Honor which would be west of TC. this photo was actually taken by my cousin on an airplane ride we took from our family lot on big Platte Lake, near the public access on Arborvitae Dr. my grandparents use to have a resort there years ago, this is and always will be home to me.

    I am actually far less familiar with Benzie County than you'd think as I just live in the next county up the coast. I have friends who live down there who I never seem to find the time to visit ... of course since Sugar Loaf is closed, I find myself at Crystal a lot! And the Cherry Bowl Drive-in at least once a summer. And canoing the Platte (less often that I'd like).

    You said you were still figuring Flickr out. I added a couple notes on the picture. You could add one that shows where your family lot is. Just use the "Add Note" button above the picture.

    I think it's pretty cool that there are at least 11 lakes in this picture too!

    thanks for adding the notes. the old Cherry Bowl Drive-in :) does anyone have pic's of that land mark here?? we lived on the upper Platte River and love canoeing. Lower P is a bit crowded most of the time. Yes the water is wonderful, we are on the Mississippi now but miss BLUE water.

    Yeah, it's tough to beat our area. I lived at various spots around the country (including Wisconsin, which I really love) for a while and kept bouncing back here.
