I took this image in the Lake District, UK. I really liked this lone tree on the ascent of Walla Crag, and it happened to be an excellent viewpoint for Derwentwater below. I stitched 2 images together in order to include more of the landscape, including the beautiful lake and nearby mountains. The scudding weather created an atmospheric scene, and the only difficulty was waiting for the perfect blend of light and shadows. I used a ND filter to enhance the brooding clouds and deep earthy colours.
