      I keep meaning to make time to do this walk. When I lived in Homerton there were some lovely walks along the river and canal.

      Nice! So you can cycle along the Grand Union Canal to Rotherhithe?
      I only managed to walk the Maida Vale to somewhere near Acton, but loved it - such diverse scenery!

      Estherase: it's an odd corner of the world, but I've come to love it. And good cycling along the canal round here...

      Super_Lekker: It's a 2 mile cycle through mostly semi-rural surroundings to the Thames at Brentford. Then as far as you like along the Thames path in either direction. I cheated when I went to Rotherhithe though and got the train to Waterloo...
